Developing Strategic Thinkers for Life

Chess is more than a game — it's a tool for cognitive development, patience, and strategic thinking. NHL Chess Club was founded to bring world-class chess education to Kenyan youth and adults alike.

We offer structured programs for absolute beginners to advanced competitors pursuing FIDE titles. Our coaches include National Masters and certified FIDE trainers who have represented Kenya internationally.

Beyond competition, we use chess as a vehicle for social impact — teaching critical thinking in schools, hosting community tournaments, and providing scholarships for talented players from underserved backgrounds.

Juniors

Ages 6-12

Introduction to chess fundamentals, piece movement, and basic tactics.

Youth

Ages 13-18

Advanced tactics, opening repertoire, endgame theory, and tournament preparation.

Open

Adults

Casual play, club championships, and pathways to FIDE rating.

FIDE-rated training, national team preparation, and international competition.
